এ এক দুঃসময়ের ছবি যা লেখক এঁকেছেন কালো হরফে, মাঝে মাঝে স্থিরচিত্র দিয়ে। সাধারণ ছবি নয়, বলা যায় কোলাজ, নানা খণ্ডদৃশ্যের সমাহার যা ক্যালাইডোস্কোপের মতো বদলায়। হরফের সারিতে বাঁধা আর ছবির ফ্রেমে আটকানো অনুভূতিগুলো নানা আকারের, বহু বর্ণের। তারা চকিত ভাবনার মতো কিন্তু গভীর, অতলান্ত। উদ্বেলিত তরঙ্গের মতো শোনায় শোকগাথা, পরক্ষণেই জাগিয়ে তোলে উজ্জ্বল উদ্ধারের অমোচনীয় আশা। কেন এমন হলো, কীসের জন্য, কার দোষে? প্রশ্ন গুলো ঘুরে ঘুরে আসে পাতার পর পাতায়। দিনলিপি ২০২০ একজনের কণ্ঠস্বর নয়, সামষ্টিক ভাবনার দলিল— এই দেশের, সারা পৃথিবীর।

This is a panoramic portrait of a year drawn in words with snapshots weaving a collage of sights and sounds that change as in a kaleidoscope. The alternating feelings essayed by words and framed in black and white are brief but poignant, fleeting yet eternal. They are refrains of an elegy that tells of grief and despair. But there is also hope like silver linings in a black cloud. Why this misfortune? This calamity? For whose fault and omissions? The words cry out in grief and anger.  Diary 2020 is a chronicle of a terrible year, hopeless yet brave in confidence that ‘we shall overcome’.
